’Tis Dining Month, the tastiest time of year! This means we’re dishing up fun and fascinating food content throughout October. Dig in, Milwaukee! OnMilwaukee Dining Month is served up by Educators Credit Union and Potawatomi Casino Hotel

It’s as important as ever to support the amazing collection of local restaurants that we have in our beautiful city. And there’s no better way to do so than making a commitment to patronize them throughout the year. To guide you on your journey, I’ve composed a list of 52 amazing restaurants. Try just one of these every week and you’ll have visited them all by the end of 2023.  View the full list here OR download an abbreviated printable PDF file.

Milwaukee’s BBQ game has grown stronger thanks to players like Heaven’s Table, which offers consistently well-executed meats and sides, plus vegetarian options that also benefit from a hit of smoke.

At Heaven's Table, meats (smoked chicken, ribs, pulled pork, pastrami, sausages and brisket) are hickory smoked and served up with house sauce on the side. Guests can add on sides of their choice including mac and cheese, coleslaw, baked beans and some of the best cornbread I’ve had in the North (get the jalapeno cheddar; it's delicous). On weekends, you can also order Heaven's Table greens, which are fantastic.

There are also sandwiches, dirty rice bowls (topped with your choice of smoked meat), and combos that make feeding a crowd more affordable.

Heaven's table also offers weekly specials like smoked salmon (with one side) on Fridays and smoked or jerk seasoned turkey legs on Saturdays.

Keep in mind that – just like all good BBQ spots – offerings sell out quickly on prime days. So get your order in early, especially on weekends!

Recommended: Cheddar jalapeno cornbread, greens (weekends only), smoked chicken, brisket
