The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection announced today that it has tested trees in Brown, Kenosha and Dane Counties in its effort to stem the spread of the dreaded Emerald Ash Borer, which has the potential to decimate Wisconsin's ash tree population.

So far 41 trees were felled in Brown County and 23 were peeled. In Dane 18 were felled and four peeled, and in Kenosha 10 of the 21 felled were peeled. There was no evidence of the borer found in any of the trees.

Work will continue in the three counties next week.
