As expected, lefty Dana Eveland was recalled today by the Brewers, who placed right-hander Ben Sheets on the 15-day disabled list with shoulder tendinitis.

Eveland started six games for Class AAA Nashville, where he was 3-1 with a 0.75 earned run average and limited opponents to a .177 batting average.

Eveland pitched for the Sounds Tuesday night in Tucson, where he took the loss after allowing two unearned runs and five hits over five innings. He was pulled after 70 pitches in that game and likely will start for the Brewers against the New York Mets on Saturday night at Miller Park.
