The Bucks on Tuesday announced the latest big-name celebrity that its new state-of-the-art arena has attracted to Downtown Milwaukee, but this time it’s not for a performance. Casamigos Tequila, co-founded by actor George Clooney, has become the official tequila partner of the Bucks and the Wisconsin Entertainment and Sports Center.

Casamigos will serve specialty cocktails made with ultra-premium tequila at all events held at the new arena and will also have branded drink carts serving custom cocktails alongside handmade guacamole and house-baked tortilla chips.

"All of us at Casamigos are thrilled to welcome the Milwaukee Bucks and their new arena to our House of Friends," Clooney said in a statement. "We wish the Milwaukee Bucks and everyone involved in the organization all the best for great success in their fabulous new home."

Among the offerings at the new arena will be the Milwaukee Margarita, featuring Casamigos Blanco, and the 3-Point Paloma with Casamigos Reposado, as well as a variety of other cocktails and Casamigos on the rocks.

"Casamigos is thrilled to be partnering with the Milwaukee Bucks and Wisconsin Entertainment and Sports Center," said Lee Einsidler, CEO of Casamigos Spirits Company. "Casamigos is excited to be part of the fabulous experience that this new world-class venue will bring to the city of Milwaukee, and all of the people in the great state of Wisconsin."

The WESC, which will host a grand opening event on Aug. 26, is nearing completion and getting close to finalizing its concessions. In February, the Bucks announced Miller Brewing Company as the exclusive beer and malt beverage partner of the WESC; in April, Klement’s became the official sausage of the new arena; at a recent media tour, a unique Milwaukee Market local stand was revealed, among others.

"We’re excited to have Casamigos as the Official Tequila of our new world-class venue," said Matt Pazaras, Milwaukee Bucks Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategy. "George Clooney, Rande Gerber and Mike Meldman have perfected the art of making fine tequila and our fans will love it."

Born in Milwaukee but a product of Shorewood High School (go ‘Hounds!) and Northwestern University (go ‘Cats!), Jimmy never knew the schoolboy bliss of cheering for a winning football, basketball or baseball team. So he ditched being a fan in order to cover sports professionally - occasionally objectively, always passionately. He's lived in Chicago, New York and Dallas, but now resides again in his beloved Brew City and is an ardent attacker of the notorious Milwaukee Inferiority Complex.

After interning at print publications like Birds and Blooms (official motto: "America's #1 backyard birding and gardening magazine!"), Sports Illustrated (unofficial motto: "Subscribe and save up to 90% off the cover price!") and The Dallas Morning News (a newspaper!), Jimmy worked for web outlets like CBSSports.com, where he was a Packers beat reporter, and FOX Sports Wisconsin, where he managed digital content. He's a proponent and frequent user of em dashes, parenthetical asides, descriptive appositives and, really, anything that makes his sentences longer and more needlessly complex.

Jimmy appreciates references to late '90s Brewers and Bucks players and is the curator of the unofficial John Jaha Hall of Fame. He also enjoys running, biking and soccer, but isn't too annoying about them. He writes about sports - both mainstream and unconventional - and non-sports, including history, music, food, art and even golf (just kidding!), and welcomes reader suggestions for off-the-beaten-path story ideas.
