The economy made a slight upward turn but that doesn't mean the deals have to stop, does it?

There are several Web sites, new to the Milwaukee area, which defiantly say no.

SeatCity.com, PricePlease.com and CouponMap.com are Web sites for deals with ticket vendors, retails stores, restaurants and more.

Much in the same way Mobissimo.com or Kayak.com emerged in the travel world to search several sites at once, these sites pull from a handful of other sites to ease your search and find you the best deal.

SeatCity.com allows users to search by performer, team, event name, venue, category or city.  Need tickets for the Bradley Center, Eagles Ballroom or Riverside Theater?  SeatCity.com searches Ticket City, Stub Hub and Tickets Now simultaneously.

Likewise, PricePlease.com informs users about price drops on desired purchases and refunds on recent purchases.

CouponMap.com allows users to search by zip code, address or attraction to find coupons for businesses and restaurants in the area.

Maureen Post Special to OnMilwaukee.com

OnMilwaukee.com staff writer Maureen Post grew up in Wauwatosa. A lover of international and urban culture, Maureen received a bachelor’s degree in sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

After living on the east side of Madison for several years, Maureen returned to Milwaukee in 2006.

After a brief stint of travel, Maureen joined OnMilwaukee.com as the city’s oldest intern and has been hooked ever since. Combining her three key infatuations, Milwaukee’s great music, incredible food and inspiring art (and yes, in that order), Maureen’s job just about fits her perfectly.

Residing in Bay View, Maureen vehemently believes the city can become fresh and new with a simple move across town.
