Dear Groom: I am thinking about getting a manicure but I feel like it might be too feminine for me. Should I do it?

Definitely. If you think that manicures are just for women, think again. Manicures are a great way for men to keep their hands looking neat, healthy, and moisturized.

Looking polished is all about the details, and keeping your hands clean and well-kept is the first step to a great overall appearance.

Male manicures are actually becoming very popular, and are great for the workplace or any other professional atmosphere. They are also especially useful in the winter months when battling dry skin.

If you get a manicure, you can expect your barbette to:

  • Wash and sanitize your hands
  • Apply cuticle remover
  • File and/or cut your nails
  • Soak them in warm water
  • Push and trim your cuticles
  • Massage your hands and lower arms
  • Apply nail moisturizer
  • Buff and shine nails
  • Apply a clear polish (optional)
