Dear Groom: This will be my first time getting waxed.  What should I expect?

  • Depending on your skin type, your skin may stay sensitive to the touch for anywhere from two hours to the rest of the day.
  • Let your barbette know beforehand if you have especially sensitive skin so that she can choose the right type of wax to use.
  • Although it depends on how fast your hair grows, you can go about two to four weeks until getting waxed again.

Things to keep in mind…

  • Male waxing is definitely becoming more popular.  Many of our clients at Groom get some sort of waxing done regularly, so you are not alone if you are considering this service.
  • Brow waxes are often the most common, but ears and back waxes are also fairly popular places which require regular waxing.
