At 9:15 a.m. Wednesday Mayor Barrett, Ald. Bob Bauman and other officials will dedicate and open the new roundabout in the Brewery (former Pabst Brewery) neighborhood.

With the opening of the roundabout at 7th Street and Juneau Avenue, Juneau will be open for the first time in more than 10 years to car traffic from Prospect Avenue all the way to the freeway.

As I've written before, you should really get over to the former Pabst Brewery complex and take a walk around this emerging Downtown neighborhood. As urban planners say, it has "great bones" and is truly positioned for growth, density and development.

This new roundabout opening is just another example of how far the area has come.
