Want a golfing experience where the scariest thing on the green isn't your tee shot? Then book a fore-rightening trip to Nine Below, where the East Side mini-golf bar has concocted an indoor haunted house mini-golf course just in time for spooky season.

Beginning in October, Nine Below – found at 1905 E. North Ave., tucked under Beans & Barley – will transform into a uniquely ghoulish golf course, turning its usual player-created greens into 18 playfully horrifying Halloween holes. The scare-filled space will feature ghostly graveyards, pumpkin patches, foggy mazes and more to challenge your nerve and your putting skills – plus a few startling surprises along the way to really test your mini-golf mettle.

Of course, to help chill out those chills down your spine, Nine Below will also serve up some Halloween-themed spirits to help combat the supernatural spirits on the course, plus some spooky snacks to go with the creepy cocktails. 

"Nine Below's Haunted Mini Golf is not your typical mini golf experience," said Izzy Santiago, experience and operations manager at Bars & Recreation, in a release. "We've created a one-of-a-kind, heart-pounding adventure that combines the fun of mini golf with the excitement of a haunted house in the heart of Milwaukee’s East Side. It's a perfect way to get into the Halloween spirit and have a chillingly good time with friends and family."

Nine Below's haunted Halloween mini-golf will open Oct. 19-22 as well as Oct. 26-31, running 5-11 p.m. on most days. (Family-friendly sessions, aimed for those ages 10 and older, will be available 2-9 p.m. on Sundays; the regular sessions are designed for those 16 and older.) The haunted mini-golf experience will cost $20 a player and is walk-in only, with no reservations taken.
