Harley-Davidson is synonymous with Milwaukee and the "roar" that comes out of modified Harleys is a legendary facet of the Hog mystique.

As Harley's 105th birthday celebration revs up, the sound of convoys of loud bikes will rattle the windows and shake the doors of Milwaukee residents.

Considering that via the City's "Bass Busters" initiative the police department has declared war on loud music in cars and has been known to ticket drivers of cars with loud mufflers, does it seem fair that motorcycle riders don't face similar fines?

Do you think Milwaukee Police and County Sheriffs should ticket motorcycle riders for their loud motorcycles?

Yes, if cops give out tickets for noisy mufflers on cars (and they do) and for loud music emanating from vehicles, why not do the same for modified Harleys that disturb the peace? Fair is fair.

No, lighten up. After all, Harley-Davidson is just another way of saying Milwaukee. And this party will be one of the biggest in Milwaukee this year, so let's live and let live. Rev ‘em ride, riders.
