A new professional comedy series featuring award-winning, national-touring comedians will bring big talent to Brew City this year.

The six-month series, called “Standup in the Starlight Room," is a partnership between 3rd St. Market Hall and BONKERZ Comedy Productions – the same folks who produced comedy shows at Potawatomi’s Northern Lights Theater.

"Standup in the Starlight Room" will take place in The Starlight Room, a private event space in the Market Hall, 275 W. Wisconsin Ave. During performances, the area will transform into a modern comedy club atmosphere featuring lounge-style for larger groups and traditional club seating around the stage.

The monthly series runs for two nights at the end of each month from February through July 2024. The program boasts a diverse lineup of top comedians from TV appearances as well as HBO and Comedy Central specials that appeal to Milwaukee’s diverse communities. Ticket prices start at $25 per person with VIP and other custom services available.

Here is "The Stand Up in the Starlight Room" schedule:

  • Feb. 23-24: Joe Machi from "Last Comic Standing"
  • March 22-23: Carmen Vallone
  • April: 19-20: Mia Jackson
  • May 17-18: Jim Florentine
  • June 14-15: Eliot Chang
  • July 26-27: TBA

“I’m excited to bring this series to 3rd St. Market Hall. Being on Wisconsin Avenue in this iconic Downtown location, among some of the city’s best theaters and venues, stand-up comedy just fits here," says General Manager Eric Kaye. "It feels great to bring a comedy club experience back to Downtown."

The Market Hall management teamed up with BONKERZ Comedy Productions because of its roots in Milwaukee and long-running history of providing stand-up comedy productions across the country including Jerry Seinfeld, Carrot Top, Daniel Tosh, Drew Carey, Darrel Hammond and many others.

“We're thrilled to be back in our hometown where we have been providing comedy since 1984,” says Joe Sanfelippo, President of BONKERZ Comedy Productions.
