Summer may be almost over, but the countdown to Summerfest is just starting as the festival announced its first American Family Insurance headliner of 2024: Tyler Childers, who will hit the Big Gig's biggest stage on Friday, June 28.

The country singer-songwriter and 2020 Grammy nominee for Best Country Solo Performance ("All Your'n") will be joined on this "Mule Pull '24" tour stop by his band, The Food Stamps.

Tickets for the headliner show will go on sale to the public on Friday, Sept. 22 at 10 a.m., with a presale also taking place on Thursday, Sept. 21 beginning at 10 a.m. For information on tickets and the show, visit Ticketmaster's website

So that's one day down for headliners for next year's nine-day festival, running three Thursday-to-Saturday weekends once again: June 20-22, June 27-29 and July 4-6. As much as it is a gigantic cliché to say that one has always had a passion for film, Matt Mueller has always had a passion for film. Whether it was bringing in the latest movie reviews for his first grade show-and-tell or writing film reviews for the St. Norbert College Times as a high school student, Matt is way too obsessed with movies for his own good.

When he's not writing about the latest blockbuster or talking much too glowingly about "Piranha 3D," Matt can probably be found watching literally any sport (minus cricket) or working at - get this - a local movie theater. Or watching a movie. Yeah, he's probably watching a movie.
