Some would argue that the English language peaked in 2008, when rapper turned singer and arguably poet laureate T-Pain rhymed “mansion” with “Wiscansin” on his hit “Can’t Believe It” with cheesehead-in-spirit Lil Wayne. Few, however, would have guessed that the legacy of that lyric would spawn its own festival: Wiscansin Fest, which will return to The Rave for its third iteration this summer.

Set for Saturday, June 8, the festival is sure to deliver another stacked lineup of artists and a party that will run through the afternoon into the evening. This year’s festival is set as part of T-Pain’s just-announced “Mansion In Wiscansin Party" tour, which will also feature LaRussell, Young Cash and NandoSTL. The 24-stop tour features Milwaukee smack dab in the middle of its run, also including shows at Bottlerock in Napa Valley as well as Bonnaroo in Tennessee plus two yet-to-be-named festivals.

As has been the case the past few years, the rest of the festival lineup is yet to be announced, but additions from The Rave will filter in during the buildup to the event. Last year’s festival also featured all three openers from this year’s tour, as well as guest appearances from Chance The Rapper and his brother Taylor Bennett, Lil Scrappy, Bow Wow, Afroman and more. Milwaukee was also represented with appearances from viral lowend rapper Big Frank as well as Djay Mando.

Tickets for Wiscansin Fest at The Rave go on sale this Friday via The Rave’s website, with presales on Thursday for Spotify members, as well as The Rave or T-Pain fan club members.
