Milwaukee's best late-night drunk eats, 2012

For the sixth straight year, October is Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com, presented by Concordia University. All month, we're stuffed with restaurant reviews, delectable features, chef profiles and unique articles on everything food, as well as the winners of our "Best of Dining 2012."

Your votes are in, Milwaukee, and you have selected the winners of OnMilwaukee's Best Dining 2012. We're announcing the results of this readers' poll, including our editors' pick, in a series of articles that run all October long during Dining Month on OnMilwaukee.com.

It's 2 a.m. and while you don't have to go home, you definitely can't stay here.

So where, then, to go?

Well, it seems like a lot of Milwaukeeans make the trek to the East Side for a bite at Oakland Gyros before wrapping up another night out on the town.

Oakland Gyros was again your choice for Milwaukee's best late-night drunk eats, taking the title by nearly 100 more votes than its closest challenger.

And why not? Milwaukee has an awful lot of options for after-hours dining, but a late-night gyro is an excellent way to keep the stomach from rumbling – or prevent a case of the spins – until the morning.

This year marks OG's sixth win in a row. It's hard to argue with its late-night landslide – Oakland Gyros gets our vote, too.
