Wife and I stopped by for Friday lunch and were wowed from the moment we stepped inside Honeypie. Wonderful eclectic atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff, solid beer list and some of the most satisfying comfort food one can imagine. Curry chicken sandwich and mac and cheese were top-notch.

Saw a piece on Honeypie on the Wisconsin Foodie tv show and it looks amazing. Everything is made from scratch even the pickles. I am going on Friday and will report back.

Oct. 22nd, 5PM, had dinner consisting of the turkey slices under a globe of mashed potatoes and the cream of potato soup. Both were barely warm. Soup was like thick wallpaper paste and tasteless. The place was not busy and got a booth immediately upon entering. I might return in a few months and hopefully get a hot dinner. Waitress was congenial and apologetic after I told her. Not her fault. She was properly tipped.
