The brand new THIRSTy Summer Soda Series invites families and friends to learn how to make your own deliciously flavored natural sodas and take it home. Each month will highlight seasonally appropriate flavors to indulge your senses. New classes are held on Wednesday evenings twice a month throughout the summer. Give yourself the opportunity to innovate by creating a custom, laser-etched portraiture of you and your significant other! We’ll take your photograph, and then you’ll alter your photo using a WACOM drawing tablet. We’ll laser-etch your photo on the products of your choice – key chains, cardboard, paper, acrylic, and more. Discover your creative voice, meet new people, and be immersed in the world of design. Discover your sense of smell as a local neurosurgeon explores how smells are perceived by our brains, connected to memories, and influence our decisions. You’ll be able to understand why cut grass reminds you of a hot summer day and why you can’t stand the smell of certain foods. Join us in the THIRST Lab for an adults-only evening series exploring the science and art behind fragrances, aromas, and scents. Discover the processes of extracting scents from objects and hone your skill as a perfumer as you combine essences and oils to create a custom scent. Registration price for members is $30 and for the public $35.
