Gotye to play The Riverside

Alt rock artist Gotye will play the Riverside Theater Saturday, Aug. 25 at 8 p.m. with special guests Missy Higgins and Jonti.

Reserved seating tickets are $49.50 and $59.50. Tickets will be available starting Friday, June 8 at 10 a.m.

Recently, OnMilwaukee.com had the pleasure of interviewing Sagal on the 25th anniversay of the pilot episode of "Married With Children."

"Archer Live"

"Archer Live" was a fun, but disjointed show over the course of its 90-minute running time. While it was fun to see the voices of these characters performed live, there was a lack of organization that was a bit of a disappointment with tickets costing $35-$45 each. Still, that same chaos allowed for some of the funniest moments of the evening, but for fans looking for a more in-depth look at the show, they were left in the cold in favor of the party atmosphere.

The venues have what might be described as a secret weapon. That`s pastry chef Julie Thorsen, whose creations - like her Muppets cake pops for Sufjan Stevens - are so welcomed that she`s getting more and more onstage props. So don`t expect her to be a secret for long.

The Barefoot Contessa

Ina Garten, a.k.a. the Barefoot Contessa, was originally scheduled to come to Milwaukee Nov. 2, but her appearance was postponed due to Hurricane Sandy. Thankfully, the show was not cancelled and Garten made her first-ever trip to Milwaukee on Thursday night for a chat at the Riverside Theater.
