Clutch Milwaukee kicking new restaurant into gear

The tapas restaurant planned for the former La Piazza space at 1504 E. North Ave. will be called Clutch Milwaukee. Though a sign in the window directs the curious to ClutchMilwaukee.com, that site is not yet live.

However, the restaurant has a Facebook page.

According to that page, the restaurateurs are building out the space themselves, including making bar stools, tables, chairs and booths.

A chef is currently designing a menu and the page suggests that the place will open April 1, but a peek inside suggests it could take longer than that.

You can follow the progress on Facebook or on Twitter.

We'll update you with details, too, as we get them.

34565 Went for a drink last night. Wow??? Drunken owners wife / girlfriend bossing around the bartender and generally being a jerk was so sad to see. Not sure I've ever seen anything more embarrassing in a restaurant in my life. My advice is don't get faced in your own place and act like a fool. The Stallis vibe is kind of gross too. I was hoping the place would be so much better.
