In the great cycle of the TV industry, local stations have been getting back to their roots with more local programming to fill the time. This gives an audience a chance to find out more about what is going on in its own community.

It can also be difficult to find a place to put entertainment stories and features when more of the regular newscasts are focused on news, enterprise reporting, weather and sports.

Earlier this year, the management team at WITI-TV Fox 6 announced that it was working on a new afternoon program to air from 4 to 5 p.m. on weekdays. The new show, called "Studio A," will report on the entertainment scene in Milwaukee.

"’Studio A’ will focus on what’s happening and what’s current in our area, as well as what makes Milwaukee such a vibrant place to live and raise a family," the station said in a release Monday.

The show will be anchored by 10 p.m. newscast anchor Ted Perry and "Real Milwaukee" host Katrina Cravy.

The "Studio A" street reporter will be Brian Kramp, who hosts the Kramp-cast posdcast on OnMilwaukee.com. Kramp was a radio morning show host with Jon Adler on WLUM-FM 102.1.

"I may still have a face for radio, but I'm excited about making the move to TV and FOX 6," Kramp said.

"Being able to work with Ted and Katrina on ‘Studio A’ is a dream come true. I have respected their work for years and look forward to bringing my personality to this fun new show."

The show will debut on Sept. 9.
