Theory of a Revolution Tour: Carved Souls, Gothsicles, Deviant U.K., For All the Emptiness Sunday at Club Anything

The Theory of a Revolution tour, featuring Carved Souls, the Gothsicles, Deviant U.K, and For All the Emptiness, makes its Milwaukee stop Sunday night at Club Anything.
This is Carved Souls' U.S. tour and includes a revolving lineup of international, national, and local bands at various stops. This darkwave synthpop 4-member outfit has released three albums thus far.
Manchester's Deviant UK, whose signature dark synthpop with a beat has filled three albums so far, has toured previously with the likes of Project Pitchfork, VNV Nation, Rotersand, and The Cruxshadows, just to name a few. Jay Smith, who IS the band, is joined onstage by live musicians.
The Gothsicles, on WTII Records, is a band well-known for not taking themselves seriously. This incarnation includes darkNES, the long-time "everything" guy for the band; Dan Clark of the Dark Clan; and Mike Bradberry, a live member of mindFluxFuneral. Songs include "Turn Signals Are Still Cool", "So You've Decided to Become a Goth", and "Save Dat Mermaid".
For All the Emptiness, a dark electronic music project, has a sound that's been compared to VNV Nation, Icon of Coil, Assemblage 23, and the Cruxshadows. Known for its thought-provoking lyrics and majestic vocals, this project of Jonathan Kaplan released a second full-length cd, "Second Order" in April.
