Summerfest announces Avett Brothers, grounds stages headliners
Summerfest made a few big announcements today, revealing that the Avett Brothers will co-headline with the already-announced Violent Femmes at the Marcus Amphitheater on Opening Day, June 26. Officials also announced headliners for the grounds stages.

Voter turn-out will likely be smaller than usual because there aren't a lot of "sexy" races today. No candidates for governor, mayor or county executive to elect. Most city aldermen aren't running either.

Rebirth and redemption, Vegas style
OnMilwaukee.com Publisher Andy Tarnoff has stopped counting how many times he's been to Las Vegas. He certainly didn't go this March expecting any huge surprises. As usual, he was wrong. He came to this realization as he sat in a comfy, leather chair, with an IV attached to his wrist and oxygen tubes in his nose. Before you panic, that experience was actually planned, but more on that later.
