As a part of recent restructuring efforts headed by Sue Black – which included parting ways with long-time head coach Keith Tozer and joining a new league – the Milwaukee Wave announced today that the ownership group headed by Michael Zimmerman, CEO of The Rock Sports Complex and Zimmerman Ventures has become a partner in the team's ownership.

Zimmerman and his group recently formed a new venture called MKE Sports & Entertainment, which will be the holding company for all current and future investments in sports management and entertainment related themes, including the Milwaukee Wave.

"(The added ownership group) gives the Wave a combined ownership group that will help bring long term sustainability to this 30-year storied franchise," Black stated, in a press release this afternoon. "I have been recruiting Mike and his group for months and am excited about the future of The Wave and everything else he's got going on. This is a great day for Wave fans, our summer campers and sports in Milwaukee."

A press conference will be held in late May to discuss further details of this move, as well as other transactions associated with MKE Sports & Entertainment.
