Want to drive revenue, UW? How about cut down on public drunkeness and hopefully better control under age drinking? I say serve beer at Camp Randall.
Back to Lambeau
This afternoon, I'm heading up to Green Bay for tonight's Packers game. I'm going as a fan, not as a working journalist, because my friend Eron won a raffle for two tickets and a bus ride to and from Lambeau Field. I realize now that it's been about 10 years since my last Packers game at The Frozen Tundra. It was a Lions game in 2002, I think, and the stadium was in the middle of renovation.

Calling the final round
On April 24, 1953, a national television audience viewing a world lightweight championship fight in Boston was disgusted when challenger Tommy Collins was knocked down 10 times by champion Jimmy Carter before referee Tommy Rawson got around to stopping the mismatch in the fourth round. Just 10 days later, a well-known Milwaukee referee was driven out of boxing by fans and reporters who thought he stopped a fight too soon.

A funny thing happened on the way to South Bend
You would think that after spending much of our time in Chicago, a trip to the significantly smaller South Bend, Ind., to see the Single-A South Bend Silver Hawks wouldn't be much to be excited about. Then we arrived, and South Bend instantly became the most memorable stop on the trip thus far.
ESPN is unwatchable
I like ESPN. I really do. But it seems every summer, when my dad and I are off on our baseball trip, their desperate attempts to fill airtime turn into reasons to change the channel.
My failed attempt at becoming a Cubs fan
When my dad and I head off to a new stadium on our trip, it's an unwritten rule that we always try to root for the home team. Normally, it's very easy. Then again, normally we don't visit the stadium of our arch rival.

Beloit Snappers' stadium seems very minor compared to the rest
One of the best additions to our annual baseball trip has been the inclusion of minor league stops. Unfortunately, our cross-country travels have only solidified a sad fact about one of Wisconsin's own minor league teams, the Beloit Snappers. They have one of the worst stadiums in the minor league system.

Live in London
